Okay, really? I do now think this anime is getting a bit long and drawn out a bit too much. We just can’t find a happy medium for MMORPG anime’s can we? I think the main issue with this anime is that it just moves at a snail’s pace. I mean, the concept is good and the plot and setting seem to be coming along. But the main issue I have is that the animations don’t look nice. The fight scenes are terrible. I don’t think I’ve seen a more dull looking game anime. Also, the epic-ness of this anime has really shot down for me. The whole episode we just end up getting a couple of tid-bits of information and not really any sense of excitement throughout the episodes.
Also, the sense of urgency is missing. Sure there is so much depth to this anime, but it’s missing the urgency to the show. It almost gets lost in it’s own depth. It adds so many layers of things to the show but it doesn’t fully utilize the new thing that they introduced. Say for example the steam engine thing. Why not have a couple episodes dealing with that new technology babble. I don’t see why you have to jump right into a war, that isn’t even exciting. I feel like there is a war going on but they aren’t taking it very seriously.
Anyways, I feel like the quality of this anime went down for me. Not really enjoying it as much as I thought I would.

I agree that Log Horizon is slow and there’s no sense of urgency. A sense of urgency will draw more attention and make the anime more exciting, which is why I always feel that Log Horizon is only interesting but not exciting compared to other shounen anime.
